"Advanced Underwater Technologies

for the 21st Century"

23-26 May 2000

The New Sanno Hotel

Tokyo, JAPAN

The magnificence of Tokyo will again greet international experts as they attend the second Underwater Technology symposium in May 2000.  One of the most pleasant months in Japan will host the highly successful symposium, which is organized by the IEEE Oceanic Engineering Society (OES), its Tokyo Chapter, the University of Tokyo's Institute of Industrial Science, and the U.S. Office of Naval Research Asian Office, along with host organizations from several countries.  "Advanced Underwater Technologies for the 21st Century" will provide a thematic umbrella under which attendees will discuss the problems and potential long term solutions that concern not only the Pacific Rim countries, but the world in general.

The symposium venue will once again be the exquisite New Sanno Hotel.  Attendees will also have an opportunity to visit area attractions including the Japan Marine Science and Technology Center (JAMSTEC) and other historical and cultural attractions around the Tokyo area.  Don't miss out on this premier international event.
